Fine Arts Academy to relocate to Tannahill Intermediate site for 2025-26

The Fine Arts Academy will relocate to the Tannahill Intermediate site for the 2025-2026 school year and become Fine Arts Academy at Tannahill. The FAA at Tannahill will serve our current students as well as additional first through fifth graders in that neighborhood.
All current FAA students (and their kindergarten siblings currently at West ELA will be grandfathered and continue attending the Fine Arts Academy.Located at 701 American Flyer Blvd., the FAA will become a first through fifth grade neighborhood elementary school as well as a choice school for families desiring an emphasis on the visual and performing arts.

This change will provide additional classroom space at FAA and meet the needs of our growing school district.

Students who live outside the two-mile radius from their new elementary school will be eligible for bus transportation.

We look forward to the opportunity to visit with you about these new changes.

New families who do not live within our new attendance zone but are interested in enrolling their child(ren) at FAA will be added to a transfer list. Complete the Interest Form to be added to the list.

We will be able to accommodate students on the transfer list shortly after school begins. This will ensure that we are sufficiently staffed for the students within our attendance zone and our current families.

More information will be communicated to the community about these procedures during the spring semester so that parents can begin making arrangements for enrollment.

Grant

The Fine Arts Academy opened at its current location in 2008. Our first through sixth grade campus serves approximately 300 students, with just two classes per grade level.

We love to learn at FAA and focus on empowering our students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers. Literacy and Number Sense are an academic focus as we know that students who are readers and mathematicians will be the innovators of tomorrow! First through fourth grade students attend music, art or drama every day. Fifth and sixth graders have the opportunity to choose from electives in band, art, choir, theatre and media/graphic arts. Students in fifth and sixth grade also have the option of taking dance.

Currently, new enrollees are admitted based on space availability from our waiting list.
