Tannahill and Fine Arts Academy fifth grade GLO students recently explored sheep brain specimens as part of their "Brain Games" unit.

Students identified various parts of the brain and discovered new areas through different cross sections of the brain.

Students used their research and the specimens to better understand how the brain works, preparing them to take a deeper look at how the brain can be "tricked" through optical illusions, brain teasers and puzzles.

Teacher Loretta Haley had an extra specimen so second and third grade GLO students at the Fine Arts Academy also had the opportunity to dissect a sheep brain.
